It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

We have officially entered the “Busy Season!!” However, this time of year can also be a bit overwhelming with so much to check off our “to do” lists and with so many places to be and people to see.

Help Us, Help You!

Between NOW and December 19th we will wrap your gifts for you as you help us raise funds for our adoption at the same time!

Here’s how it works:
1) Contact us and let us know you’d like to participate! (Facebook, e-mail, text, call)
2) We will arrange a drop off day & time.  (Please bring your gifts with your gift wrap & ribbons and any special requests written out.)
3) We will provide Tape and Tags (and other supplies as needed).
4) Together we will come up with a drop off plan to get your wrapped presents back to you! After drop off, all gifts will be wrapped and ready for delivery within just a few days.
5) Contribute a donation of any amount to our adoption fund plus receive your name (or the name of your choice) written on the back of our puzzle!!

The deadline to contact us is December 19th so that all gifts can be ready for delivery no later than December 22nd! The earlier you contact us, the quicker our little elves can get your gifts beautifully wrapped! Don’t forget… all gifts will be wrapped and ready for delivery within just a few days of your drop off day.

Piece by Piece – our adoption picture is coming together

Will you help our adoption picture come together?

We would be honored and humbled to have you be a part of this story.

A year ago, we began our adoption journey publicly with our first fundraising initiative – our Puzzle Fundraiser. A year later, we are so close to completing our puzzle!

Only 138 133 pieces are left to be sponsored!

Would you prayerfully consider helping us complete our puzzle? Every piece symbolizes someone who has helped or will help bring Baby Bullock home!  Each piece is a minimum donation of $10 and your name or family name will be written on the back of your sponsored piece or pieces. Once the puzzle is complete, we will frame the puzzle between two pieces of glass and hang it in Baby Bullock’s nursery.

On one side of the puzzle, we will be reminded of God’s promise and call on our life – to bring our sweet “happy thought” home.  The other side of the puzzle will be a humbling reminder of everyone who helped bring our baby home, a testament to the Body of Christ.

We can’t wait to hang the puzzle in our nursery, as a constant reminder of the way the Lord has provided for our family. Every step of the way, God has provided exactly what was needed, and this puzzle will be a tangible reminder of His promises, His hand at work, and His love for us all.

Want to sponsor a piece in honor of someone? A couple pieces of our puzzle are sponsored in honor of a loved one.  We can’t wait to share with Baby Bullock the story and significance behind each puzzle piece and name. Our hope is that our baby grows up knowing the love of the Body of Christ in a very real way.

Please share with family & friends! We are so close!  With a rained out adoption yard sale, we are a little further away from our goal to bring home baby, but we are confident that God will continue to provide for us.

November is National Adoption Month!

November is considered National Adoption Month – a time to celebrate and raise awareness about adoption.

What is National Adoption Month?

“National Adoption Month is about spreading awareness. It is a month to encourage others to learn about adoption, to hold adoption related events, and to acknowledge the people in this country whose lives have been impacted by adoption. The mission of National Adoption Month is to celebrate the families who have grown through adoption, and to recognize the many children who are still waiting for forever families.”

 

• In the United States, the first major adoption related effort occurred in 1976 in the state of Massachusetts. Then-Governor Mike Dukakis proclaimed the first week of November “Adoption Week,” to promote the need for more adoptive families to care for the large number of children in the foster care system.
• In 1984, President Gerald R. Ford made the Adoption Week a national event.
• By 1998 the week had become so widely recognized there were too many events to fit into seven days. President Bill Clinton extended the week long event into National Adoption Month, which is what we celebrate today.
• Nearly 5,000 children were adopted by their forever families during the 18th annual National Adoption Day in 2017!
• Nearly 70,000 – the total number of children National Adoption Day has helped move from foster care to a forever family since its inception in 2000.
• Today, almost 60%-70% of domestic adoptions are now open adoptions.
• About 60% of Americans have a personal connection to adoption.
• Although no more than 2% of Americans have actually adopted, more than 1/3 have considered it.
• Adoption is not just for humans. In the animal kingdom emperor penguins are zealous adopters of orphaned youngsters.
